The food's pretty good, just a diverse cast of items from sandwiches to even pasta including baked goods too. They also provide coffee and expresso as well which go nicely with the immersion of all sorts of memorabilia.

Bottom line: Recommended. Pretty good food, busy most times, interesting decor. NYC pricing $$. Overall: (A-) 5 min. wait for 3 in a booth. Worth the wait. Came in for the weekend to a nextdoor hotel, and decided on the Majestic Deli for breakfast. I ordered the Spanish Omelette while spouse got the special (3 pancakes, 2 eggs, hash browns, bacon, etc.), teen got the french toast. First coffee was good, refill was burnt. (McDonalds coffee lovers will appreciate the profile.) Spouse had a latte. All good. Spanish egg white omelette was medium spicy, just the way I like it. Gone in a flash. Total for the three of us was $82.(jan 2025) Servers & staff always checking in, high turn over rate on tables. Medium loudness.

I came here with my husband and it was his idea. I'll admit, this Cali girl still has a lot of baggage about NYC. But we were at a place where I didn' want yo go anywhere and we were hungry, hungry people. I figure that they want to give people a good meal and being in the theater district in midtown, they probably weren't trying to kill us and they weren't. The place was nice and clean. I walked in and got a soda. They have a counter with a ton of sandwiches and a salad bar. My hubby asked if they had gluten free bread and they did. So I got a basic sandwich - ham with cheese and lettuce and it was good. The sandwich was good. My husband got a chicken sandwich which was on a different type of bread and it was kind of rounded. They put it on a grill. He thought it was OK. Finding a clean tale was a bit of a challenge, but it isn't because no one cleans the tables. We saw someone cleaning up after people as they were leaving. My husband wanted to use the bathroom upstairs and asked where it was. One guy came from behind the counter to show my husband the code to get in on his receipt. We used this little bit of magic (again something we don't have here in the bay) at another deli. Pricey? I guess, but is it pricier than other places? Options? Yes, they had a lot of chips, drinks, and had a selection of salads, which could be updated at the Salad bar. Sandwhiches were prepared and heated upon request, except, for the ones on gluten free bread. I would come to this spot or another one like it. These spots can be divey when you are in the bay, but here, they aren't and that's a good thing.

Popped in here for a quick bite while i was waiting to see a show. The neon signage is actually what caught my attention and anytime i see the word 'deli'. There's lots of seating with a whole upstairs area (and clean bathrooms). There were premade sandwiches and salads as well as a menu to choose from. Staff was very friendly and had my sandwich ready to go quickly! I would definitely pop back in for a sit if i was in the area.

This was my 1st time ever to NYC and my sister and I were hungry after our 2 hour double decker evening bus tour. It was awesome but chilly up on top, so we wee delighted to spot the Majestic Delicatessen at the end of the line. What a great place inside! All sorts of options to satisfy your hunger pangs. Chilled beverages in refrigerator case along the wall. Their chicken noodle soup was perfect for warming up, fabulous homemade taste, lots of classic fixings and egg noodles. I had a chicken Parmesan sandwich on a great hoagie roll: excellent chew, toasted just right and just the right amount of cheese/ sauce in every bite without oozing all over. It came with a pickle spear that tasted perfect I got a latte to enjoy afterwards. My goal of the trip was a real NYC bagel and I ordered one to go, for breakfast the next day. Poppyseed with scallion cream cheese. I felt it was warm and told my sister, "I just gotta have a bite while it's warm." It was like the heavens opened up and it was everything I could have imagined and hoped for. After seeing a Broadway show earlier and eating this bagel, I was the most content I've been in a while! The ambiance was charming: marble top tables with wrought iron post, brightly lit and welcoming. Facilities are upstairs with code access for customers only. Autographed pics of famous people that have eaten there. The desserts are also on another level: muffins, coffee cake slices, pastries, tender/ flaky croissants (got one of those for breakfast too) I Highly recommend this delicatessen for a good meal/ snack. The prices were moderate(?) but the quality of the food, served hot and fresh + quantity is worth it to me. $20-30? And let's not forget the staff and service! While checking out the menu board above and peeking through the glass cases below, at least 3 people addressed us ready to serve, patient with our questions and prepared our choices swiftly. This was around 9:45 pm, so of course we got awesome service. But I'm sure even in rushes, the staff would be equally professional and personable. I highly recommend the Majestic for some wonderful food, people and atmosphere!

Wanted to get a pastrami sandwich in New York. We ended up here. The place was wide open and very clean. The service was fast and the staff were very friendly. The pastrami was lean and tasted good. The bread was just ok. I would definitely come back when I visit NY again.
